Mastering persuasion and conflict management- course by Dr. Payal Kumar
Course overview video
In this hyper-competitive age, enhancing soft skills of employees is often a key differentiator when it comes to a more nimble and resilient workforce. For Human Resource executives that follow the 70:20:10 learning framework of 70 per cent on-the-job learning, 20 per cent through collaboration and peer learning, and 10 per cent through formal learning interventions, this bouquet of courses has been carefully crafted for their requirements.
These courses are open to anyone who wishes to learn and move ahead the corporate ladder, irrespective of experience or industry. Therefore, there are no formal pre-requisites required, except for a desire to expand one’s skills and knowledge, and unbounded curiosity. Classes will be live and completely interactive, with lectures, class discussions and tutorials similar to a traditional class.
About 30 % of time at the workplace is spent in conflicts and managing these. Not only does this increase cost to the company by taking up a significant part of managerial time, but the hostility can lead to less work engagement and productivity, more stress, and a general fall in the well-being of the employee.

2. Emotion typology: discover the nuances of emotions
The ability to grasp the differences between emotions is called “emotional granularity”. A person with high emotional granularity can see nuanced differences between emotions. For example, they can tell the difference between fascination and inspiration or embarrassment and shame. They can label their own emotions with precision and likewise the emotions of others. This emotion typology – a systematic classification of emotions according to their differences and similarities – can be used by anyone interested in nuanced information on emotion: a scientist, a student, a coach, or anyone else who is interested in human emotion.
- Understanding the Five Negotiation Styles
People often ask, “which is the best negotation style?” As with much management theory, there is no single “best” approach. All five profiles of dealing with stressful and high-pressure negotiations are useful. Determining which to use depends on the given situation.
