Majestic
Majestic
What does the word majestic mean to you? This word, as defined by Meriam Webster, means “having or exhibiting majesty.” It can mean stately, grand, magnificent, imposing regarding size, or exceeding the ordinary.
Majestic is found in scripture and is used primarily to refer to God; Lord (Isaiah 33:21, Psalm 29:4). His work (Psalm 111:3), His apparel (Isaiah 63:1), His glory (2 Peter 1:17) His power (Exodus 15;6), His Holiness (Exodus 15:11), His voice (Job 37:4), and others. Believers are referred to as “Majestic ones” in Psalm 16:3,
As for the saints who are on the earth, They are the majestic ones; all my delight is in them.
What about that last entry from Psalm 16:3? Believers are also deemed as and called saints. We are saints. Of course, man has a whole other worldly use for the word saint, as if unattainable by the ordinary person. But God does not. Those who believe in Him, heart, soul, mind, body, and strength are saints. We are saints, and He delights in us. We might not always behave saintly, but that doesn’t make us less a saint of God.
He delights in us, delights! Armed with the knowledge that He delights in us should motivate us to behave as He desires. Live as He commands. Love as He loves us. He isn’t looking for perfection. Heck, we all know we ain’t that!
He is looking for obedience to His word. He is looking for surrender to His commands. He requires all of us, our hopes, our fears, and our selfish pride to be given to Him without regard to the outcomes. Then, and only then can He transform us from a sinner to one who is a saved child of God, majestic ones.
So start today and lay your burdens down. If you believe in Him, know He delights in you. Know He loves you. Know He only wants the absolute best for you. Know there is no harm in that, only healing from your pain and transformation to become more than you ever thought you could be, majestic in Him.
If you don’t yet believe in Him, acknowledge Him right now as your Lord and Savior. Believe he is Christ, the Son of God, born supernaturally of a virgin birth and crucified for your sins and inequities. Confess your sins to Him and believe He died for you. Ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse you. When you do, you and your life will become what He delights in!
