The proper time
The proper time
There exists a proper time for everything. For example, there’s a proper time for when a baby goes from milk to solid food; when a teenager starts to drive; when a young adult becomes old enough to drive, to enlist in the armed services; to legally consume alcohol. None of these occurrences can or should happen before their time. If they did, we’d have choking babies, children drivers, and very young soldiers and drinkers of alcohol.
God’s timing is so much more exact and proper. Nothing happens a moment before or a moment after it is supposed to happen. God’s timing is perfect. From His creation of the heavens and earth, the great flood, the parting of the Red Sea, births of John the Baptist and his cousin Christ Jesus, the death, resurrection, and His ascension are all according to God’s exact and precise timing. The rapture, tribulation, Christ’s return, millennial rule, and the New Jerusalem restored are also going to occur in His exact timing. He’s never early. He’s never late.
If we think He is, we need to adjust our expectation to be in alignment with His pleasing and perfect will. If we have a problem with Him, He’s not the problem! In fact, scripture is filled with the term proper timing, Proverbs 25:11, Ecclesiastes 8:5-6, Timothy5:13, 6:15, Titus 2:6, Luke 1:20, 12:42, Hebrews 11:11 1 Peter 5-6, and more.
You see, our timing is off without His timing. He’s in control, and He is sovereign over all things, including time. It all belongs to Him. The only reason we have an inaccurate expectation or misunderstanding is because He gives us the ability to choose it. Therefore, trust Him, trust His will, trust His love and trust His timing. All He desires is the best for each one of us. His timing creates experiences that allow that to happen. It is all according to His proper time, not ours.
?
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:5-6
