Peace that makes no sense

Peace that makes no sense

There is no shortage of nonsense, insanity, lunacy, or deceit, dishonesty, and deception in our modern world. In fact, there are plenty of opportunities for billions of folks who don’t know truth, won’t know truth because they refuse to put in the leg work to discover, reveal, and then live and speak the truth, His truth.

Because we are from Him, we must be for Him. We must acknowledge Him. We must pursue and follow after Him by looking to and knowing Him and who He is and all He’s done. Then, and only then, can we be more like Him. He becomes visible to others around us, our loved ones, our neighbors, our coworkers, and strangers.

A major crisis will arise in our lives for certain. That crisis can take many forms and degrees, from job loss, illness, damaged or severed relationships, to even the most extreme by death and destruction. How we respond is a testimony to who He is to us, in us and through us. Are we responding with a pity party where we become more the focus than anything or anyone else? Or are we revealing His power, His strength, grace, and mercy we’ve received and demonstrating that toward others who are also hurting?

Oswald Chambers says,
“Every element of self-reliance must be slain by the power of God. Complete weakness and dependence will always be the occasion for the Spirit of God to manifest His power.” In times of trouble, trial, and tribulation, are you focused on your pain, or are you putting on full display the healing power of God? Are you whaling, “Woe is me!” or confirming, “Praise His holy name!”

Having peace, the peace of God in all circumstances reveals supernatural strength and especially during a crisis, any crisis, no matter how big, how small, how deep or how powerful. Be that peace that makes no sense in the toughest, worst of times, and even in the best of times. Be that strength that knows no weakness. Be that victory in the face of defeat. Christ Jesus is all those things and infinitely more. Be like Christ Jesus and reveal His undenying victorious strength in every circumstance.
