Give and Forgive

Give and forgive

What examples in your life reveal this godly behavior? Where have you been intentional and deliberate to behave in such a way? Is it a child of yours, a parent, a brother or sister, or perhaps your spouse, fiancรฉ or anyone in which you have a relationship. Have you given or forgiven a complete stranger on the street?

One of those above situations should bring to mind and heart your actions, whether you have, you haven’t, or need to. Conversely, has someone been giving and forgiving toward you? Has another been intentional and deliberate to behave in such a way? Is it a child of yours, a parent, a brother or sister, or perhaps your spouse, fiancรฉ or anyone in which you have a relationship. Have you received or been forgiven by a complete stranger on the street?

We are all called to give and forgive, just as Christ Jesus does. What does it cost us? What is the true cost of giving away His love, His hope, and His mercy? What is the true cost of forgiving another, burying an overgrinded axe we have maintained for years, or even decades? The true cost to us is nothing! What’s the benefit? The benefit is eternal freedom (when we truly give and forgive) in Christ Jesus that what He said, what He commanded, and what He instructed is truth!

If there exists anyone in your life right now, at this very moment who needs a gift from you, or truthful, humble, and loving forgiveness from you, what are you waiting for, for them to experience a little more pain so you can experience a little more anger?

Be intentional. Behave deliberately. Be the one who heals and not the one who grinds axes on open wounds. The cause is no matter. The source is of no consequence. To give and forgive is the immediate and eternal solution. Give and forgive today, before you falsely reason a way not to.ย
