Consistency builds confidence. Confidence builds trust. Ken Blanchard is a best-selling author of many books on effective management, leadership, and customer service. One in particular is “Raving Fans,” which tells stories of different customer service experiences as seen from an outsider. The examples reveal what customer service plus one percent looks like. The method of this model, throughout each example, is consistency because consistency builds confidence and confidence build trust.

God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are each examples of consistency! They have been consistent on every word, every page, every chapter, and every book of God’s Word. Neither wavers, faints, retreats, or quits. God is consistent in every way and on every day, from Genesis 1 through to Revelation 22. We, as disciples, believers, and followers, can take complete confidence in God’s Word and, therefore, completely trust God’s word.

What do you do consistently that builds confidence in others to trust you? What do they see each and every day that you do consistently? Is this behavior godly? Are the consistent choices you make instilling confidence in others to trust you, and what do they trust in you, goodness, encouragement, godly instruction, or not?

Look back through scripture and see where God was faithful to His Word, did what He said He would do, heal where He said He would heal, and administer justice where He said He would administer justice. Compare that to your faith and faithful words, deeds, and behaviors.

One of the best ways to see God’s consistency in our lives is to journal. Journal thoughts, experiences, and prayers. Most importantly, journal when and where those prayers were answered and their results. The prayers might not have been answered as we thought or when we thought, but were they answered? Journal it! Keep track of how God’s moved to, in, and through your life.

You’ll become a confident walking testimony of how God consistently came through for you and others around you. How God healed, revealed, changed, delivered, and blessed many times over. God is consistent. God is trustworthy. We can all be confident in Him because He has given us 66 books that prove it on every page.
