Actionable Truth
Actionable Truth
What truth is in action in your life? How do you live your truth out? What is your truth? Is it what you’ve been told by a parent, mentor, friend, or enemy? Or is it a truth based on experience observed by their truth in action from others?
Our truth takes many forms. There’s a limitless culture of psychology that does its best to point souls to their own truth. A very limited set of examples can be to accept who you are currently, realize your worth, learn your own personal truth, and live your truth. These have one thing in common, me, myself, and I!
One’s personal truth can be powerful within ourselves, but that truth can and will change over time, situation, circumstance, and feeling. We certainly know feelings change, and if led by them, we are caught up in an emotional whirlwind of change, lacking consistency and a firm foundation of actual truth.
The only truth worth action is God’s Truth. God’s Word is Truth and the only truth worth action. Sure, there are scientific truths, mathematical truths, biological truths, etc. However, those truths are still His because He created them. Mankind simply observed and named them. The fact that they already existed doesn’t mean we created them by “discovering” and naming them. He already knew those when He created them. The credit belongs to Him and not us!
God’s Word is actionable truth, and He provides so many examples of how we should put His Word into action. One powerful truth we are required to make actionable is forgiveness. Even though we feel another, especially one who caused us hurt, pain, and suffering doesn’t deserve it.
Another is love. We are to love our enemies. After all, we are most likely an enemy to someone else, aren’t we?
Lastly, and first and foremost, we are to be obedient to God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We must obey because His Truth is the only Truth worthy of believing, acting on, knowing, and living. Once we identify ourselves with Himself, we are truly free, and every other soul around us can see that truth in action, His Truth, and nothing and no truth of ourselves.
“Truth” appears in Scripture almost 200 times and is therefore important to God, and anything important to God must also be important to us. What Truth of God will you act on next?ย
Scripture References
