Take the Time to Reflect
It’s around this time every year that I reflect on the last decade of my life, as February is National Eating Disorder Awareness month.
Eating disorders often stem from a complex interplay of genetic, environmental, and psychological factors, such as a history of trauma, low self-esteem, or a desire for control. The Recovery Process
The eating disorder recovery process is different for everyone. The environment, including support from friends, family, and healthcare providers, as well as access to resources and treatment options, can also have a major impact on the recovery process. A supportive and understanding environment can foster a positive recovery experience, while a lack of resources and support can make the journey more difficult. It is important to remember that recovery is a personal and individualized process and to seek professional help to find the best path for you.
