Deception
Deception can mean the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid as defined by Meriam Webster. “Oh, what a tangled web we weave/When first we practice to deceive,” is credited to Shakespear. Either way, the devil has this one quality at his disposal to try to impact believers. The evil one attempts believers not to necessarily forsake God (who would never forsake you, BTW) but to turn away, delay, or distract us from God even for a moment.
Understand that although today might seem like there is rampant evil and deception in the world, it has been capable and allowed by God since the Garden of Eden centuries upon centuries ago. However, with today’s technology, evil is seen for what and when it is. Evil is exposed for what it is, and its founders of deception are revealed in who they are by what they do. The microscope is on them and their plots, their schemes, and their very lives of lies.
Christ Jesus died for all mankind once and for all, and even though many choose evil and fleshly desires, and they encourage others to do the same, they have been found out. Their deceptions are revealed, and their choices have been made. Make the choice to pray over them and love them, for they truly do not know what they do. For God knows better than we do those who don’t repent and come to Him earnestly and honestly. His judgment will one day reign down upon them like they have never seen.
