How to regain your Flow

Hi there!
Given the intense strife that is happening all around us, it’s important to remember to find your flow.

Have you experienced Flow?

To share your unique gifts in the world in the best ways that you know how to live life from a place of meaning and purpose.

Yet, when the madness of the world gets you caught between a negative rock and a hard place, it’s vital to remember how to find your way back to a place of flow.

The place where time disappears, and you’re in your most creative, productive, and vibrant state of mind.

We have all experienced this place at some point or another in our lives.

I know when I’m writing or painting at my easel, I can find that place of flow. It’s one of my most favorite places to be!

– You feel like you’re firing on all cylinders.

– Your creativity knows no boundaries.

– Your vibrating at a high level, filled with peace of mind, joy, and ease.

Ahhh. I can feel it now.

Can you? ?

It can be a potent force of feel-goodness that elevates all aspects of your life!

Characteristics of Flow

Here is what the author Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, one of the founders of positive psychology, describes as the eight characteristics of flow:

1. Complete concentration on the task

2. Clarity of goals and reward in mind and immediate feedback

3. Transformation of time (speeding up/slowing down)

4. The experience is intrinsically rewarding

5. Effortlessness and ease

6. There is a balance between challenge and skills

7. Actions and awareness are merged, losing self-conscious rumination

8. There is a feeling of control over the task
