Hi.

Transformation does not happen because we strive harder.

It happens because we consistently create space for God to transform us.

But what does that actually look like in everyday life?

For me, it begins with a simple practice I call STOP:

Stillness.
Time.
Openness.
Prayer.

STOP is not another formula for getting life right.

It is not a checklist to complete perfectly or a spiritual routine to measure yourself against. It is simply a way of remembering how to create space for relationship with God.

Stillness invites us to quiet the noise long enough to become present.

That may mean sitting in silence, taking a few slow breaths, stepping outside, or pausing before reaching for the phone.

Time means making room for connection instead of waiting until everything else is finished.

It does not have to begin with an hour. Sometimes five intentional minutes can become a meaningful place to meet with God.

Openness asks us to loosen our grip on the outcome.

It is the willingness to bring God what is honest, remain receptive, and allow Him to show us something we may not have considered.

Prayer becomes more than finding the right words.

It is sharing what is on our hearts, listening, and trusting that God is already present in the conversation.

None of this has to be complicated. In fact, the smallest practice may be the most honest place to begin.

Before you move into the next part of your day, try this:

Pause.

Take one slow breath.

Notice what is happening within you.

Then pray:

โ€œGod, I am here. Help me become aware of Your presence.โ€

That is enough.

You do not have to feel instantly peaceful.

You do not have to hear a clear answer.

You do not have to do it perfectly.

You are simply creating an opening.

โ€œBe still, and know that I am God.โ€

โ€”Psalm 46:10

This week, consider which part of STOP feels most natural to you, and which part feels more difficult.

Stillness?

Time?

Openness?

Prayer?

You do not need to work on all four.

Choose one small practice and let that be your beginning.
